SIFU CYNDY JONES PROMOTED TO JKD BLACK SASH

After seven hours of intensive physical testing and an extensive written test, Sija Cyndy Jones was promoted to Black Sash Instructor Level in Bruce Lee's Jun Fan Gung Fu/Jeet Kune Do by Sifu Kevin Seaman of Cortland, New York on July 1, 2002 and given the title of Sifu. This promotion is an honor not only for Sifu Jones but also for the Collamer-Jones Karate School and its JKD students.

Sifu Jones started JKD training with Sifu Seaman on January 13, 1998. The first JKD class at the Collamer-Jones Dojo in Bergen, NY started on April 4, 2001. Since then several JKD classes have been added at Kodak Park in Rochester, NY. For information call Sifu Jones at (585) 548-2801.

Cyndy Jones was awarded a Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Apprentice Teaching Certificate by Sifu Kevin Seaman on July 1, 2002, and a provisional teaching certificate on October 6, 2000. In July, 2006, Sifu Seaman promoted Sifu Jones to JKD Full Instructor, 1st year and in July, 2008 to Full Instructor with no renewal required.

As this Jun Fan program progresses, more details on content and times will be added to this page. Test requirements are those used at Sifu Kevin Seaman's East West Martial Arts Academy in Cortland, N.Y.(see link below). Required text books are Sijo Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kune Do and Sifu Seaman's Jun Fan Gung Fu. Sifu Seaman's tapes on Jeet Kune Do are highly recommended as well.
